Q1: How much do you charge?
Daily boarding charge is £40.00 for bookings of less than 7 days
All bookings over 7 days are £35.00 with a discount of £5.00 for each dog in the same household


Q2: How do I pay?
Payment is weekly. I accept cash or BACs payment.


Q3: Which areas do you cover?
Kira & Friends expert team of walkers provide dog walking in Foots Cray, Bexley and the surrounding area. Your dog always will be walked in a safe place, away from busy roads and distractions.


Q4: Are you fully insured?
Yes I hold full public liability insurance (5,000.000) with Cliverton Certificate number M1570069.
I will present a copy of my insurance certificate when we meet.


Q5: Are you police checked?
Yes I hold a DBS enhanced certificate and will present a copy of this documentation when we meet.


Q6: How often will you walk my dog?
We can walk your dog as often as you wish – anything from one walk a week up to two walks a day, five days a week. Kira & Friends provide dog walking services from Monday to Friday (weekends and bank holidays by arrangement, subject to availability).


Q7: Do you allow dogs off the lead?
Yes, with your written consent, and only in safe areas away from roads, and only if our walker is confident that your pet will return when called. If you are concerned about your dog’s ability to obey a recall, we are also able to use on an extended lead (10 metres) which allows them to exercise in safety.

Q9: How often will you walk my dog?

Q10 How long will each walk last?
Each walk lasts for a minimum of 1 and a half  hours (1.5) (not including pick-up and drop-off time).


Q11 What if I need to cancel a walk?
Please call or email giving a minimum of 24 hours notice, otherwise the missed walk will we be charged at the full normal rate. If you wish to cancel a regular service, we require a minimum of four weeks’ notice.


Q12 Will you walk my dog in all weathers?
Yes, regular exercise is vital for your dog’s wellbeing? The only exception being extreme weather conditions which may present a risk to the safety of your pet. And when I’ve finished our walk, I make sure that your dogs coat and paws are towelled down and that they have plenty of fresh water to drink.


Q13 Does my dog need to be fully vaccinated?
Yes, all dogs must be fully vaccinated (puppy home visits excepted).


Q14 My dog doesn’t always get on with other dogs. Does this mean you are unable to walk them?
No, if your dog is uncomfortable around other dogs, Kira & Friends also offer a solo dog walking service, where we will take your dog for a walk on its own.


Q15 Are you able to administer my dog’s medication?
Yes, I’m happy to administer medication for your dog.


Q15 Do you walk all dog breeds?
Providing it is a legal dog we do not discriminate against a dog on account of its breed. We will meet your dog before we walk it and providing we feel comfortable together there should not be a problem.


Q16 Are you familiar with the law affecting dogs?
Yes, having been a dog owner for many years, I have a good knowledge of the law. See Kennel Club: ‘Do You Know Dog Law?’


Q17 How do you collect and drop-off my dog?
Kira & Friends come to your home and collect your dog and drop it back after its walk. If you require us to walk your dog during the day whilst you’re at work, etc, we would require a key for your home. Please note that we am police checked and fully insured to walk and care for your dog, as well as to hold your keys.


Q18 Does my dog need to wear a collar and tag?
Yes, the Control of Dogs Order 1992 requires that most dogs wear a collar and a tag or disc showing the name and address of the owner.


Q19 How many dogs do you walk at a time?
We walk a maximum of XXX dogs on each walk. This ensures they have my full attention and remain safe. If you would prefer your dog walked on its own, we also offer solo walks.


Q20 Do you use treats?
Kira & Friends dog care services do use the occasional treat during a walk to reward good behaviour, unless you request otherwise.


Q21 What happens in the event of an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will inform you immediately. If your dog requires veterinary attention, one of our team will take your pet to your named vet or the nearest veterinary surgery, depending on the degree of urgency.
